love and care for children living with challenges.
For two decades, the Florida Chapter of ADL has been involved in Holiday Campaigns for Children’s Home Society of Florida.
It started with the inspiration of expert flower designer Rev. Joseph Bogucki. Each year, he would provide a beautiful fresh Christmas tree and then would decorate it in his unique artistic way.
Rev. Dr. Barbara Hanshaw, Co-Founder of ADL, encouraged ministers to donate toys and practical gifts for the children.
In 2018, we expanded and created the Back-to-School Campaign.
For practical purposes, instead of gifts, we began to donate cash and gift cards.
In turn, the CHS staff distributes our donations to families in great need of community support.
100% of the donations go to Children’s Home Society of Florida.
Quite often, the FL ADL Board votes to match the funds of all donations received.
The funds are then donated to various CHS locations throughout Florida where our ministers offer their services.
